Wow, girl born on A12 near Harmelen
Special news! On the A12 near Harmelen (Utrecht), a woman gave birth to a daughter early in the evening on Thursday. Fortunately, mother and child, who was given the name Amalia, are doing well.
Due to the delivery, two lanes were temporarily closed and there was about ten kilometers of traffic jams, Rijkswaterstaat reported. Two ambulances and a trauma helicopter were called, but luckily the delivery went well. Eventually, mother and daughter Amalia were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Beautiful day
Margot works at a gas station near where the girl was born. According to her, she was born in a white bus. “It was spectacular, with a helicopter and three ambulances, everything closed, police there to make everything as safe as possible. A whole event“, she tells RTV Utrecht, “it was already a beautiful day and now it has become even more beautiful.”
Third time
As far as we know, this is the third time this year that a baby is born on the highway in the Netherlands. The first was born on the A4, says Rijkswaterstaat spokesman Dave de Jong. In April, a mother gave birth to a daughter on the exit of the A13, near Delft.
