Withings ScanWatch Horizon: a wonderful hybrid watch

Withings has long specialized in smart health products. In its portfolio we can find, for example, smart scales, pressure gauges, thermometers, but also bracelets and watches. Thanks to the latter category – ie watches – it probably became known to the general public the most, while it does not specialize in classic smart watches with a touch screen and a sophisticated operating system. Instead, the French company focused on the so – called hybrid watch. This is a watch using a classic dial with a hand-operated hand in combination with little or no display and bluetooth connectivity. In the portfolio of this brand, we will find a whole range of hybrid watches – from the cheapest, not far apart from smart bracelets, to significantly more expensive, but more luxurious models. Newly introduced hybrid diving watch Withings ScanWatch Horizon then they represent the new top of this manufacturer’s offer.

And in our opinion, the manufacturer’s design of this innovation simply succeeded. Hybrid watch Withings ScanWatch Horizon down to small, round PMOLED The display looks like a classic diving watch. They are then made of stainless steel (316L) and a 43 mm diameter dial covers sapphire crystal. Directly in the package you get not only a metal pull, but also a strip of fluoroelastomer. In terms of smart features, the Withings ScanWatch Horizon display can display information from more than 100 compatible applications, while the text that does not fit on it runs from right to left so that the watch holder can read what the notification is about. We then take the display of the caller’s name as standard. Events on the display are then controlled with swivel crowns with integrated button.

The watch also boasts quite a bit a wide range of health and fitness functions. These include, for example, monitoring of sleep, physical activity, ECG, or blood oxygenation – in the words at the level of medical devices. The endurance of up to 30 days also sounds great, which can be extended by another up to 20 days if you are satisfied only with information about time and basic monitoring of activity. Last but not least, we must not forget the water resistance to 10 ATM – the watch can therefore also be used for diving. And how much does the manufacturer value his product for? Not quite, the Withings ScanWatch Horizon watch can be yours for € 499, or approximately CZK 12,700. However, they will be pleased that the price also includes an above-standard, 5-year warranty or the option to return the watch within 30 days. You will then have a choice of two color variants – with blue and green tinting of the dial.
