Windows 11 becomes available on the beta channel

Windows 11 build 22000.100 is now available in beta for members of the Windows Insider program. The test versions of the new operating system were so far only on the Dev channel.

Those on the Dev channel already have build 22000.100, and have been doing so for a week now. Microsoft is now offering this version of Windows 11 in beta, judging it to be stable enough for a pre-release. In fact, Microsoft invites users who are on the Dev channel and want a little more stability to switch to the beta channel. They will have fewer updates, but the ones available are supposed to be more stable.

To test the Windows 11 beta, sign up for the Windows Insider program. Once it’s done, launch Windows 10 and navigate to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Insider Program. Follow the onscreen instructions to start the download.

If you already have Windows 11 thanks to the Dev channel and want to switch, go to Settings> Windows Update> Windows Insider Program, click on “Choose your Insider settings” and select “Beta channel”.

Microsoft has already said that Windows 11 will be available in final version at the end of the year, without further clarification. Several clues have already suggested that the release will take place in October.
