WhatsApp will soon let you change the language in the settings
In WhatsApp there will be an option to manually select a language in the settings. You will currently see the app in the language set on your phone. For example, you can use your phone in English and still see Dutch menus in WhatsApp.
choose whatsapp language
Many Android phone enthusiasts are used to using the English (US) language on their smartphone. This way you can get started faster with the latest features of Android and Google apps in certain cases. However, it has the disadvantage that the menus of apps can be read in English and not in Dutch.
One way to still use apps in Dutch is when apps have the option to choose a language, separate from the system language of your phone. According to WABetaInfo, that’s exactly what WhatsApp developers are working on. You will soon be able to choose from one of the 60 languages that the messaging app supports. As you can see in the screenshots below, there will be a special pop-up menu from which you can choose a language.
Android 13 function
WhatsApp already has a similar feature in some countries, but WhatsApp now wants to make it available to every user. That is exactly when Google is also working with Android 13 on a function for developers that allows users to choose a language in their app. Google announced that news at the unveiling of the first developer preview. It is unknown when this feature will be available for WhatsApp users of the beta or stable version of WhatsApp.
