WhatsApp now lets you listen to a voice message before sending

A handy new feature has been added to chat app WhatsApp. Users can listen to voice messages before they are sent to someone else.

With some properties of apps you wonder why these are not directly added to an app. That is now also the case with WhatsApp. The developers are adding a feature that brings improvements to a voice message. Until now, voice messages are sent immediately after recording; but that’s going to change.

From now on, the option will be made available where users have the option to listen to the audio message before sending. This is done while recording, by swiping up the microphone icon. You can then press the stop button to end the voice recording. You can then choose to throw it away or send it.

The function will not only be available for the mobile apps, for Android and iOS. WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp Desktop users can also listen to their message before sending a voice message.

The functionality is rolling out as of now, but it may take a while until it’s available to everyone.
