Playstation 5 first impressions

We have to say we had a slightly better feeling from unpacking the Xbox. The Playstation didn’t win much with the packaging and everything is in soft paper packaging. You can really see that you saved where you could. The Xbox Series X has a precisely crafted box, and the console itself is also housed in soft foam. But that probably doesn’t matter. When we unpacked the Playstation 5 and put it on the table for the first time, we realized how huge it is.

You can find out that the console is big on various forums and in reviews. However, you will realize its huge dimensions only after you see it. And new The Xbox looks like a squirrel against the Playstation. We can’t judge whether it’s good or bad, but if the console doesn’t overheat at the cost of giant passive cooling, we probably don’t mind. If we were to tell you which of the consoles we like better, let’s go a little upstream and let’s say the Xbox Series X.

Playstation Plus Collection does not have a Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass is one of the best services we’ve ever known. Sure, Spotify and Netflix are great, but having access to hundreds of quality games for CZK 259 a month is simply a great thing, and Microsoft has hit the black line. DualSense is an indescribable experience

In the last article, we wrote to you that our previous primary console was the Playstation 4. That’s why we can evaluate the new DualSense quite well, because with DualShock 4 we have played several hundred hours. When we first picked up DualSense, we realized how big is the difference between Xbox and Playstation drivers. Don’t get us wrong, the Xbox controller is definitely not bad and even placing one analog lever at the top and the other at the bottom fits us a bit more. But DualSense really acts as a next-gen experience. The game is pre-installed on the PS5 Astro’s Playroomto demonstrate the capabilities of the new driver.

And she is doing very well. We’ve heard a lot about the driver, we’ve read a lot of foreign reviews, but you simply have to try the experience with the new driver yourself. DualSense driver has a haptic and has a built-in speaker and these two features are key to the whole experience. DualShock 4 had a speaker as well, but remember the games that support it. There are not many of them and the potential has definitely not been fulfilled here. Whether this will happen in the case of DualSense, we cannot estimate, is in any case well-off.

Astro’s Playroom demonstrates the capabilities of DualSense

In Astro’s Playroom, you play as a robot who travels the local world and there are locations where you run on sand, snow or ice skate. Know that even with your eyes closed, you can tell which surface you are currently moving on. And that’s exactly what we enjoy about the controller. But triggers have also been improved, which are now adaptive and can resist in certain situations. If you are a FIFY lover and try to press your opponents in the 80th minute, your players are already tired and puts up trigger resistance while holding down the sprint button. It’s the same in Call of Duty, when you have few rounds in your weapon. In short, DualSense is a matter which is key to the PS5 and can draw you more into the game. It may sound cliché, but it is.

Playstation 5 nebo Xbox Series X?

Now comes the main question. If we could choose from only one console that we would keep? The Xbox is certainly better at offering a larger library of affordable games, plus the Quick Resume feature, which we quite miss on the Playstation 5. It’s nothing serious, but switching between 2-3 titles at the same time is simply incredibly comfortable. But playing on the Playstation 5 is a bit better, thanks to DualSense. Sony can really thank its engineers for this great piece of hardware, because without it, we would have decided on the Xbox Series X almost without hesitation. we would keep the Playstation. But we would sell the Xbox with a tear in our eyes, because it is a great game console combined with the excellent Xbox Game Pass library.
