Want to buy a Harley-Davidson e-bike? That is then € 5,000!
It is no longer a concept. The Harley-Davidson e-bike is really entering the market. There is, however, a hefty price tag.
Almost a year ago, the Harley-Davidson Serial 1 came to our attention. A very cool concept from a company known for legendary motorcycles. Back then it was still a concept. No idea if it would actually be sold that way. And whether Harley-Davidson will do that, a price and ordering option for the e-bike has been announced.
The sale will be official at the end of this year, around December. If you really want to score one, it is wise to place a pre-order in advance. Americans have this option, but the electric bicycle is by no means cheap. Harley-Davidson knows how to put their famous name on an e-bike. The price is in fact $5,999. That is converted more than 5,000 euros. Including VAT and import duties, the European price may be even higher.
But now say for yourself. Harley-Davidson sounds a lot tougher than Gazelle or Batavus. Not that there’s anything wrong with those brands. On the other hand, you have to explain something every time. When people think of Harley-Davidson, they think of those fantastic motorcycles. If you then come on an electric bicycle, don’t be surprised if your friends frown.
The Harley-Davidson e-bike has a range of 168 kilometers with a battery of 529Wh. And don’t worry. The bike is also coming to Europe, although availability will not be huge.
