Victoria Koblenko hits back after mother mafia criticism
Victoria Koblenko has gotten a load of angry mothers on her roof through an innocent story on Instagram: they find it impossible that she did not want to give her sick son Kiy paracetamol when he had a fever.
In an Instagram post, the actress bites off.
angry stepmother
‘The mother mafia is back with a vengeance. An innocent story about Kiy having a fever and that we would rather not use paracetamol left the mood in DM higher than the fever,” writes Victoria. “How sad for little Kiy that his angry stepmother didn’t grant him relief. Sooo inhumane.’
Vinegar, potato slices or lemons
Victoria wants to teach her son that fever has a reason and that his body is strong enough to solve it on its own. ‘It is okay to feel that you are not fit, so that you understand how your body works and how refined that mechanism is, which you do not have to extinguish immediately with all kinds of chemical waste,’ she says. However, she immediately clears up one misunderstanding: ‘Don’t get it wrong, I also reach for it in pain or with a persistent fever of 40 degrees, but until then I’ll start with vinegar, potato slices or lemons in my socks.’
77% of mothers in the Netherlands experience mom shaming, according to research by Kek Mama. The editors found this so shocking that they started a campaign: Kek Mama is launching mombracing, the counterpart to momshaming, and calls on all mothers to support each other instead of criticizing each other.
