Valve is finally revealing when you can get started

After it was only known that Valve wants to give the go-ahead for its Steam Deck in February 2022, the pre-orderers are eagerly awaiting an official release date. Now the gaming giant has finally released the exact data for ordering the handheld.

Steam Deck: When do orders start?

After Valve had to postpone the planned December release of the Steam Deck, the market launch is now within reach. As the game publisher announces on Steam, on February 25 just after 7 p.m sent the first emails to customers who reserved the handheld.

This gives them the opportunity to order the deck. The The time window for placing an order is three days, or 72 hours from receipt of the email. If this period is exceeded, the next customer in the queue is given the opportunity to purchase. (Source: Steam)

When will Valve ship the handheld?

Valve will already from the February 28th send the first ordered devices to the customers. After that, the further e-mails become an order option on a weekly basis sent to people with reservations. The order in which the reservations were made is observed.

Good to know: If you have reserved a deck, you can only order the model you originally chose. The reservation fee will be applied to the final price of the Steam Deck and shipping costs are included.

When will it be possible to reserve again? You can currently still Log in to Steam for reservation, but the option to order will probably only be available after the second quarter of 2022 – so be available at the beginning of July.
