Ubisoft presents Ghost Recon battle royale -apkrig

During today’s annual stream, which celebrates Ubisoft’s developers celebrating the 20th birthday of the Ghost Recon series, a brand new title was announced. It’s Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Frontline – a new free battle royale event from a studio in Bucharest that worked on two previous works, Wildlands and Breakpoint. The developers are committed to presenting to the players a whole new experience from playing a very popular genre and underlining their determination by mentioning that there will be no gradually shrinking battle zone in Frontline, as is the case with most battle royale games. It will be replaced by a series of tasks that players will have to complete during the match and the final duel at the point from which the leading team is to be transported to safety and end the match.

Ghost Recon: Frontline is based on the previously introduced Ubisoft initiative, to complement the great established and it is also necessary to note the premium series with free spin-offs, which could benefit from the live service philosophy. Representatives of the company talked about the transformation of the portfolio in mid-May, and for a while it seemed that the free to play model would be what Ubisoft would focus on primarily. But now it’s becoming clear that full-price titles – albeit still with a longer lifespan – may stand next to titles like Ghost Recon: Frontline, which certainly doesn’t make a second-rate impression, especially when it’s been worked on for the past three years. From the trailer and the images provided by Ubisoft in advance, it is clear that from a technical point of view, the game will be based on the last part of the main series, and the developers from the studio in Bucharest are fully applying their experience. However, they stated that the game will be faster and more accurate to better meet the needs of the battle royal genre, thanks to the switch to the first person view.

It is the freedom to use any procedure and strategy that is supposed to be the currency of the planned game, but on the other hand, it cannot be said that competing titles forbid players to do such a thing.

As we have learned, Frontline will offer a duel of more than a hundred players, which is becoming standard for similar titles. We will then move on universally with the facing island of Drakemoore with an area of 16 square kilometers, which is expected to offer in one area a variety of different biomes and interesting places to explore and tactical use in combat. It is the freedom to use any procedure and strategy that is supposed to be the currency of the planned game, but on the other hand, it cannot be said that competing titles forbid players to do such a thing. Nevertheless, Ghost Recon: Frontline seems impressive, at least at first glance military actionwhich the last two parts of the series could be, if you weren’t afraid to take your role in the cooperation properly and turn off some of the helpers in the HUD.

As for the represented modes, Frontline is not satisfied with just the standard concept of the battle royale genre – precisely because of the absence of a shrinking zone, coming with a good dose of random element, there are also possibilities in processing what players should actually do. The main mode will be Expedition, in which players will have to work together within groups of three. During the game, they will come into contact with dynamic and randomly selected tasks, during which they will also have to collect information about the point from which they can be picked up from the map and transported to safety. The moment they get this information and call for transport, the location of all other players will be revealed and the final duel will take place. Of course, this is not a completely new element either, but everything will be decided by the dynamics and possibilities of the game as such. In addition to this mode, the developers are preparing other, but they promise more detailed information until the time closer to the release, probably also taking into account the ongoing development. At the same time, they anticipate that the gradual expansion of the game offer will come on a seasonal basis, which only underlines the planned longevity of the game if players are interested in it.

An important aspect of the game will also be the classes of playable soldiers, which will be improved and inflect in the desired direction according to preferences and game style. Basic classes include shooters, support, and explorers who come up with a basic set of abilities and skills. The shooter is, of course, the number one striker and a necessary part of the team in both attack and defense. The support will provide units with cover that they can build during combat. Finally, the explorer is primarily used to detect enemy positions over longer distances, allowing it to remain relatively safe. But what is important, the character and therefore its focus will be possible to change during the matches, from which the developers promise another strategic layer and the unpredictability of individual fights.

If you are interested in Ghost Recon: Frontline, you can also look forward to the upcoming test. It will take place only in Europe and will be launched on October 14 on PC. However, the developer will first invite players to it via invitations sent against registration on the game’s official website. When the game is ready for release, you will be able to play it not only on this platform, but also on the consoles of the previous and current generation and Luna streaming platforms, resp. Stadium. The developers also promise full cross-play, so – hopefully – the community should not be fragmented at the outset and create a large enough set of players who won’t let Frontline take over after a few weeks, as in the case of Hyperscape, Ubisoft’s previous battle royale.
