Twitter is testing several playback speeds for videos
Twitter is currently testing the ability to change the playback speed of videos at the tweet level. You can both speed up playback and slow it down thanks to new options.
A choice of reading speed on Twitter
The options for video-level playback speed on Twitter are 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, and 2.0x. It’s exactly the same possibilities that we find on YouTube (and other online platforms for that matter).
Twitter says controls are available for videos, audio tweets, videos in direct messages, and replays of programs that were live.
In 2x, 1x, 0.5x…now testing more options in playback speed for videos.
Some of you on Android and web will have different sets of playback speeds to choose from so you can slow down or speed up videos and voice Tweets. pic.twitter.com/OfGPf4F6Og

The test first concerns the social network’s Android application and the web version. The test on the iOS application will be done later. Twitter is changing policy here, it’s the reverse that usually happens. Testing is usually done on iOS first then Android and the web.
When will the feature be available to everyone? There is no information on this at the moment.
