Tornadoes in the United States: Apple to donate for relief
Apple will make a donation that will directly help relief efforts following the major tornadoes that took place in the United States and which killed dozens of people. In all, at least 83 deaths have been recorded across five states according to the latest data.
Apple donation for tornado relief in the United States
It was Tim Cook who announced the donation in a message on Twitter. The Apple boss’s tweet reads:
Our hearts go out to all those affected by the harsh weather and devastating tornadoes that have hit the South and Midwest. Apple will donate to support relief efforts on the ground.

As with every donation announcement, Tim Cook does not give any information on the amount.
This Saturday, Joe Biden lamented “One of the worst tornado series” of the history of the United States in view of the 83 dead and several devastated cities. In Illinois, at least six people have died in an Amazon warehouse collapse. Jeff Bezos, the founder and former boss of Amazon, reacted to this tragedy, indicating that he and his teams “Are heartbroken” and “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones”.
At least 40 tornadoes were reported between Friday night and Saturday morning in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee, according to the New York Times.
