Which smartphone is number 1? Stiftung Warentest wanted to know exactly and looked at a total of 40 current models, which cover a price range of around 150 euros to 1,250 euros. There were a few surprises in comparison, because the industry leaders Samsung and Apple are not always ahead.

In the latest August issue, the product testers put 40 current smartphones through their paces.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the best smartphone according to Stiftung Warentest
Overall winner of the test was the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultrawhich was able to take the lead with the grade “Good (1.7)” (source: Stiftung Warentest). The Stiftung Warentest could not find any real defects in the current flagship smartphone of the South Koreans. Even more: The camera was particularly convincing. “Even zoomed ten times, image details can still be seen excellently,” the experts praised.
