This is what Queen Máxima looked like as a child

Today may be King’s Day, but our king also has a beautiful woman by his side. It is not surprising that Queen Máxima stands out on this day. She gets a lot of attention with her beautiful clothes. But what did she actually look like as a child?

Would our queen also be jumping around in beautiful dresses? Or was she more of a cool outfit? We were curious and looked up some old photos.

Here you see little Máxima having fun on the swing. She is still unrecognizable, but judging by her smile she was enjoying herself very much.

Our queen is a bit older in this photo. The photo is from 1979, here she is eight years old. In a neat dress, she smiles sweetly into the camera.

Here you can see Queen Máxima at Northlands School: the school where she spent her early years. Here she is a bit more as we know her now. And many see similarities with her children, especially with one of the princesses. People think her daughter Alexia is very similar to her.
