Samsung has held a virtual announcement during the Mobile World Congress, of which little is left this year. Here we see the new One UI Watch interface, which was created together with Google.

One UI Watch

One UI Watch, that is the name of the new interface for Samsung smartwatches. The platform was developed in collaboration with Google and should provide an even better experience between Android and the smartwatch. The first smartwatch with the One UI Watch design will be announced this summer. This is probably the Galaxy Watch 4.

Samsung says the following about the new One UI Watch;

One UI Watch, along with the new platform, delivers a completely new Galaxy Watch experience. Once you install compatible apps on your smartphone, they will be downloaded to your smartwatch quickly and smoothly. For example, if you put your clock app with times in different world cities on your smartphone, you will also see it directly on your watch. And when you block calls and messages on your watch, so does your smartphone.

Interestingly, One UI Watch is thus clearly inspired by Wear OS. You can download the apps from the Google Play Store. There is also support for Google apps such as Messages and Google Maps. Developers can get started with new tools that make it easier to develop watch faces for the smartwatches.

We expect Samsung to reveal more details about One UI Watch along with the announcement of the new Galaxy Watch. Samsung has shared a teaser of the new smartwatch, which can be found below. It does not become very clear; only that the new watch will have a round screen again.
