WhatsApp is a popular messaging app that we use both privately and professionally. A lot of important messages are sent and there is an easy system that allows you to save important messages for easy retrieval later.

WhatsApps messages with star

Many features that have been part of WhatsApp for years are therefore not widely known and many users will not be aware of the possibility to star messages. All important starred messages can be found in a separate section of WhatsApp, somewhat similar to how it works in Gmail.

To star a message, long press it. You will then see a button with a star appear at the top of the conversation, press it there. If you then want to find the message later, press the menu with the three dots from the WhatsApp home screen. Then tap Starred messages.

Starred Messages shows you all messages in the order they were sent with the most recent first. It is also possible to also star messages that you have sent yourself. You can also remove the messages from the list again, you can do this in ‘Starred messages’ as well as in the original conversation by long pressing the message and tapping the icon with a crossed out star.
