‘This is how much the cheapest 5G phone from Samsung will soon cost’
More is known about the price of the Galaxy A22, or Samsung’s cheapest 5G phone of 2021. The device has to be sold for 220 to 230 euros, according to leaks. We also know when it is for sale.

This year we see 5G finally breaking through in the middle and budget segment after having only welcomed flagships with the fast internet in recent years. For Samsung, the Galaxy A32 5G is the cheapest phone in the line-up, and it can be purchased from 299 euros. Although there is another cheaper 5G device on the way, we have known that since March: the Galaxy A22.
Two weeks ago we got to see the first renders of this budget model along with more specifications, but now we also know more about the price of the phone. It was leaked by a Finnish retailer, Sammobile reports. The telephone costs 185 euros excluding VAT, and that should result in a sales price of 220 to 230 euros. So it does make it one of the cheapest 5G models available.
The Finnish store also already reveals when the phone will be for sale, and we discover that it is expected from June 10. It will then be available in the colors gray, white and purple. A green variant is expected later.
Leaked specifications
In the meantime, more is also known about the specifications, because the phone comes with a 6.4-inch LCD screen. The version with 4G opts for a screen of the same size, but an AMOLED. In addition, there is a Dimensity 700 processor and there are three cameras on the back: a 48 MP main camera, a 5 MP wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro camera. The phone is also equipped with a sturdy 5000 mAh battery that you can charge with a 15-watt charger.
