This is how awesome the game could look today
After Dino Crisis was released in 1999, the survival horror game has developed into a real classic over the past few decades, and many fans still want a remake of it today. A fan uses Unreal Engine 5 to show how awesome this could look.
Unfortunately, Capcom has made no move to release a new Dino Crisis until today. A fan has therefore set himself the task and shows in a video how great the game could look thanks to today’s technology.
PlayStation classics get new life with Unreal Engine 5
Dino Crisis has brought players into the world of dinosaurs and trumped it with a dark, mysterious and above all dangerous atmosphere. There you slip into the role of Regina, a special agent tasked with solving the mystery of a research facility on an island that has been overrun by dinosaurs. In terms of style, you could play the game compare to the Resident Evil seriesexcept that you’re not dealing with zombies here.
A fan remake video recently appeared on the TeaserPlay YouTube channel. This begins with a Tyrannosaurus Rex approaching Regina. At the character models, the plants, the rays of the sun and the smooth movements to recognize the clear graphical enhancementthat the Unreal Engine 5 offers and the fans are excited.
“That’s great! I’m a huge Dino Crisis fan and have been waiting for a remake for a while. I can’t wait to see the finished product,” writes YouTube user Teneisha Jane, for example.
“The best game in the world. I remember we had a lot of fun on PS1,” added skillring in a comment.

Unreal Engine 5 enables many great projects
Dino Crisis isn’t the first project fans are tackling using Epic Games’ engine. There are now numerous fan creations for Fallout, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Assassin’s Creed. Many fans have been wanting a setting in Japan for years, but never got it. It is uncertain whether this will be made up for – but here, too, a fan shows how unbelievable that could look.
