Walking party
The objects on the Hoogersmilde Experience Path make this walk a real party. Find the water pump to fill the animal watering hole, climb into the plane and find the wooden animals for a fun selfie. Who knows how to keep his balance on the 45 boulders? They were flushed to Drenthe from Finland and Norway during the Ice Age.

Floddertje’s Garden
The Garden of Floddertje can of course be found in the Annie MG Schmidtpark. This cool nature play island is perfect for dreamers and doers. The play park consists of three parts: one for the little ones from zero to six years old and two more exciting parts with a pull raft, stepping stones and a skate park for children from six years old. There is no website, but you can find the Garden at De Zijde 7 in Berkel en Rodenrijs.

On the farm
Streekpark Kienehoef in Sint-Oedenrode is a beautiful park with a (free) playground with slides, family swings and a sandpit. Via the walking path you walk past donkeys, cows, sheep and goats. Make a stop at Kinderboerderij Kienehoeve to examine the water in their special water laboratory. Also nice: rent a boat at the pavilion and sail to the petting zoo.

Mud fun ♥
The Play Nature of OERRR on the Haarzuilens estate is really a place to romp. Sliding down a mud slide, building a dam, paddling or balancing on tree trunks. You know, it’s okay to get dirty. Tip: bring clean clothes.

A whole experience
The largest, most adventurous and most educational play forest in the Netherlands is the Belevenissenbos in Lelystad. Children from the age of six can clamber over the climbing course or mess around in the water play areas.
