‘These are the best culinary walks through Amsterdam’

If you’d told me over a year and a half ago that my Saturday afternoons would often be walking, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. This has now become one of my favorite weekend activities and I get out the door to discover Amsterdam on foot. But with these food walks through the city, walking becomes even more fun.

Tasty Walk

One of the walks you can do is the Tasty Walk. They offer different routes around the city. For example, you can choose De Pijp & East, De Pijp & South, West, but also along the canals or around the Vondelpark. Each walk has its own distance that varies between 3 and 9 km. Prices therefore also differ per route, but are on average around € 36 for 6 restaurants – so you get 6 snacks to eat along the way. Also nice: the Vrijmipro. A variant of the Vrijmibo and consists of a tasting through the Pijp of about 3 km. The Tasty Walk can not only be done in Amsterdam: cities such as Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague or Alkmaar are also connected.

Wine food

Walks are planned in various cities on different dates. Your ticket costs around € 33 and you can still buy tickets for the weekends of 22 and 29 May. In Amsterdam, Boca’s and Nomads participate, but you can also walk in many other cities such as Scheveningen, Nijmegen, Maastricht, Leeuwarden and Haarlem. You determine the route yourself.

Oyster walk

Also nice and slightly different: with the Oyster Walk you get oysters at about 5 restaurants – sometimes even with a glass of wine, bubbles or beer. You can choose from a walk through Amsterdam West, Center or East. Among others Lion Noir, Cafe Restaurant Amsterdam, Pesca, Mossel & Gin and FA. Peekelharing are affiliated with the Oyster Walk. You get a different kind of oyster at every restaurant. Be surprised by special variations, but the traditional oyster is also present. You can do this on Saturdays between 12:00 noon and 6:30 pm. Every Monday at 10 a.m. the tickets come online for the weekend that follows.

Le Food Walk

Le Food Walk is often sold out, but it is now possible to buy tickets for 22 and 23 May. You can then walk it in Amsterdam (De Pijp) or Haarlem. In Amsterdam you have six stops, five snacks and two drinks and you walk about 5 km past hotspots. For example, you stop at Wijmpje Beukers and Sjefietshe. You can start between 12:00 and 16:00 and your ticket costs € 39.50. A ticket for Haarlem is slightly cheaper: € 34.50. In Haarlem, Fishbar Monk and Roast Bistro are affiliated.
