The update for the Google Pixel 6 series addresses many issues
Getting started with Google Pixel 6 smartphones could be a little stressful. After all, these are not the cheapest pieces and yet they were characterized by many critical errors. Now, most of them could be over. The delayed January update is coming. The Phone Arena web portal informs about it.
The update size for Google Pixel 6 (Pro) will vary
We will mention at the outset that some users received the December update and some did not. If you received the December update, this January will be over 200 MB in size. If you didn’t get it, the update probably won’t have more than 50 megabytes. You can find a complete list of changes on Google Support.
The fixes also include bugs that occurred after the update to the December security patch. Some users are already reporting that the update has resolved any inconveniences they may have experienced. They also feel that the fingerprint scanner is a bit faster. The user interface itself is smoother for someone, and you should be circumvented by connectivity issues.
Added features include better song recognition, the ability to add bass (probably only for Google headphones), support for unlocking the car via mobile phone, Nearby Share for sharing media for nearby devices or detecting a car accident that calls for help after a car crash.

We believe that this is an update that will definitely resolve the vast majority of the issues that arise and will not cause further inconveniences. You should receive the update availability notification yourself, but you can also check it manually in the settings, more specifically in the system updates section.
Competitive updates
Software updates are also handled by competitors. The new Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will soon receive its update. Android 12 comes on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones.
The Huawei P Smart 2021 recently received a December security patch, and the Sony Xperia 1 III along with the Sony Xperia 5 III receive an update on Android 12. For a complete list of smartphones and update plans on Android 12, see our separate article detailing this topic.
