The third big DLC for Valhall will cost 1000 crowns -apkrig
Ubisoft developers have failed to keep this secret. Although we officially learned about the third big DLC Dawn of Ragnarök as part of a special preview event in early December, there are still many days left until today’s official revelation and therefore the expiration of the embargo, and it was obviously only a matter of time before the information escaped. And as we wrote in the morning, this time the French publisher can remotely thank Chinese gaming stores, which started talking openly about Dawn of Ragnarök over the weekend, which, of course, did not escape the players’ attention. At this point, we can confirm that the leaked information is exactly in line with Ubisoft’s plans, but we are adding a few more snippets, including a high-resolution image gallery and, most importantly, more information about the next DLC, which will be available from tomorrow. This is another speculated matter, the connection of Valhalla and the previous part of the Odyssey through two crossover stories in which the heroes of the two games meet.
Dawn of the fate of the gods
But let’s start with the big expansion of Dawn of Ragnarök, which will be available on March 10 next year. Developers from the Bulgarian Ubisoft Sofia team have been working on it for the past year, calling it the most ambitious and largest expansion for the Assassin’s Creed series in history. The price tag, which Ubisoft set at a staggering 1,000 crowns, should correspond to this. In return, the developers promise several tens of hours of gaming experience, which, according to information said during the closed press presentation, does not just seem like an ordinary recycling mechanisms already in place. But let’s stop at that price first – if you remember, Ubisoft sold the entire previous season pass with the Warth of the Druids and The Siege of Paris expansions for the same amount, and you could buy both DLCs separately for 25 euros. The novelty in the form of Dawn of Ragnarök thus announces in advance and with its prize that it has worked harder and that it will really be a much bigger matter, which can be understood to a certain extent as a separate title.
The developers from Ubisoft Sofia have subsequently revealed their plans and promise a lot of hitherto unseen things, if we set aside a trip to the still unexplored corners of Norwegian mythology. As can be seen from the escapes, Eivor takes on the role of Odin – the Nordic god of war and wisdom – in Dawn of Ragnarök, and it doesn’t matter if you want to play as a man or a woman. The developers thought of both, as evidenced by the available screenshots. It should not come into conflict with the other parts of the story, namely that Odin has a wife, Frigg, and with her a son, Baldr, who was kidnapped by the immortal fire giant Surtr from the Múspellheim Empire. The clash with him and his drivers Múspely should belong to one of the highlights of the planned DLC, which will, for obvious reasons, be interwoven with a number of neutral and friendly characters. Dwarves from the underground realm of Svartálfheim will play an important role, which you will have to carefully examine and find the scattered dwarf tribes. He will then lend you the controlled Odin some of the new weapons and pieces of equipment that will directly affect the gameplay itself. We are talking about the possibility of transforming into a crow, controlling lightning or reviving the fallen with the help of special dwarf bracelets Hugr-Rip, which naturally stems from the possibilities with which Odin himself comes on the scene.
The developers also had to deal with giving the player so many options, but not making him an unbeatable opponent. But the basic game and the fact that we will move in the realm of other gods and very strong enemies have already answered this to a large extent. It should not be a great advantage, even if it was a nut and testing and balancing is still underway, so that everything seems fair and the difficulty fits the expected experience given the history of the Assassin’s Creed series, respectively. his last works. But as the developers pointed out, Dawn or Ragnarök will not just be about a fight, albeit with new weapons and combos, it is a personal story of Odin trying to save his son, which can be largely reminiscent of God of War by Sony Santa developers. Monica. Although no one from Ubisoft names him directly, there is some inspiration here, but by processing several deities and especially by focusing on solo playing, it would not have to be too often blinking and especially mentioning who stole whom. In the case of Dawn of Ragnarörk, Nordic mythology is at the forefront, from which the game borrows, as do God of War and the events leading to the destruction of the deity.
For the latest information on Dawn of Ragnarok, we return to the price. The developers have confirmed that anyone who pre-orders the digital version of the DLC from December 13, or buys by April 9, will gain access to the basic version of the game and will receive a special midnight a package with a rideable feature, a special ax and raven skin for Eivor or Eivor in Valhalla. In this way, the price tag gets a little deeper justification, and thanks to the pre-order, you can complete the main part of the story by the Dawn of Ragnarök issue.
From Odyssey to Valhalla and back
But this is not the only thing Ubisoft developers are planning. The next expansion will take the form of two stories from tomorrow, which can be played in Valhalla and the previous Odyssey. This is a free DLC from the upcoming series Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories, which aims to answer the question of what happens when heroes from different parts of the whole saga meet. It all starts with Kassandra and Eivor, who come across each other in the A Fated Encouter missions in Valhalla and in Those Who Are Treasured. In order to play the missions and enjoy the clash of the two mentioned heroes – which, by the way, the developers did not want to tell us anything more about – you must have your Ravensthorpe at least level 4 in the case of Valhalla and the completed A Wise Friend mission. In the case of the older Odyssey, all you need to do is complete the first chapter and reach the state of Megaris, where new content awaits you. But as the developers have told us, it will undoubtedly be better if you complete the whole game – its three main story arcs – to avoid any spoilers that the new mission will present to players without hesitation.
Ubisoft studios work at Crossover Stories under the auspices of branches in Quebec, resp. Montreal and it seems that this will be a larger initiative, on the basis of which we could experience similar encounters with other heroes. But everything will probably depend a lot on how the players accept the extension and how they respond to the developers. However, since this is a free DLC, we are not afraid that something unpleasant should happen, and if the developers gradually involve characters from the present, it could be an interesting extra layer.
