The telegram is receiving another major update. Improves video calling and video sharing
The Telegram app received several new features in June, including support for group video calls, screen sharing, and new animated backgrounds. Now it’s getting another update to improve video and video messaging. In addition, it adds the ability to automatically delete messages after up to 1 month, new options in the video player or other animations. The XDA Developers portal informed about the news.
Up to a thousand users can now join a video call
From now on, you can make a video call with 30 people at once via Telegram, which can be watched by up to 1,000 users. The funny telegram claims that the limit will gradually increase until all people on Earth can join one huge group call.
The application’s developers added a screen-sharing feature in the previous version, but this was limited to group video calls. You can now use it to talk to just one user. In addition, it can also record playback sound, so if you have music playing when you share it, for example, other users will hear it.
The new version of the Telegram application also improves video messages and the built-in video player
You can now send higher resolution video messages and zoom, pause, or rewind them during playback. Also, recording them will not stop media playback (such as a song or podcast).
The application’s built-in video player now offers different playback speeds – 0.5x, 1.5x and 2x. You can access these options by tapping the three dots located in the upper right corner of the player.
Other new features include the ability to set automatic deletion of messages not after 1 day or 1 week, as before, but after 1 month. The photo editor also underwent a small change. As you zoom in on the photo, the size of the brush will shrink, making it easier for you to add fine detail to the photo. Last but not least, a few new animations have been added to the application.
