For Nintendo Switch: Amazon sells Metroid Dread for 34.99 euros
With Metroid Dread, Nintendo brings veteran space bounty hunter Samus Aran for the first time in 19 years back to the second dimension. The story of the 2002 released Metroid Fusion is continued there. Almost a year after the release, you still have to pay 60 euros for the switch hit in the Nintendo eShop.
On Amazon, however, the price has now dropped significantly due to Prime Day. For just 34.99 euros (view at Amazon) you can currently plunge into the sci-fi adventure. The offer is only available for a short time, and since Nintendo is usually very reluctant to come up with worthwhile special offers, fans shouldn’t miss this opportunity.
Here’s what Switch players can expect with Metroid Dread:
Metroid Dread is celebrated by fans of the series
In Metroid Dread, Samus Aran must contend with dangerous combat robots that have been hacked by unknown forces and are now relentlessly pursuing them. Even the bounty hunter’s gear is useless against the machines. Of the Test by our colleagues at spieletipps gives Metroid Dread an 88 out of 100. Samu’s 2D comeback succeeds through well thought-out level design, motivating progression and gripping boss fights.
On Amazon, Metroid Dread has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars with more than 2,000 reviews. The users praise about the typical Metroidvania-style exploration, which helped the series achieve its legendary status. However, many reviews also criticize the steep level of difficulty, which is mainly triggered by the killer robots. However, since the beginning of the year there has also been a rookie mode that makes the game more accessible to beginners.
