The signal now has a function with which you can mute others

The Signal communicator has been experiencing a very successful period in recent months. Even thanks to the considerable troubles of the competing WhatsApp, a lot of new users have landed with him, who care about greater privacy or security. The developers of this application are constantly updating other interesting featuresto keep pace not only with the “green” chat from Facebook. One of the latest innovations, which is also inspired by the Telegram, is restrictions on sending messages or speaking in a group conversation.

The new feature allows group administrators to set whether other members can also contribute to the chat with their posts, or whether they can talk during joint calls. These special groups, originally called “announcement groups”, are therefore intended for situations where unilateral communication of information is appropriate. An example could be quick communication from the boss to the employees or from the coach to his charges.

This type of group has its own name, but in the Signal application (it can be found from version 5.22 already in the Czech Republic) does not start as new directly in this mode. This is a normal group conversation in which only the administrator (founder) selects the desired option in Group settings> Permissions> Send messages.
