Although the serial adaptation of The Sorcerer by Netflix did not automatically win the hearts of all fans and the reception was accompanied by mixed feelings, especially from the sides of the vague chronology of the story, the second series is being prepared at the end of the year. Netflix has confirmed that the world premiere will take place on December 17 and adds the first full-fledged trailer, which presents new places and characters, referring mainly to the book Blood of the Elves – the first part of the fantasy saga by writer Andrzej Sapkowski. Even this time, according to a wave of comments, the court’s acceptance is slightly contradictory, but the authors have done a great deal of work and, for example, have made the desired changes in connection with the armor of Nilfgaard’s soldiers.
If you don’t move too much in the World of the Sorcerer – you haven’t read books, you haven’t played games – you should know that the plot of the series, starting with the second series, will no longer jump as significantly in time as it did in the beginning. The fates of important characters have finally intersected, so watching will be more digestible, especially if the series is the gateway to the whole saga for you. As for the story, Geralt, with the knowledge that Yennefer had fallen in the Battle of Sodden Hill, takes Ciri to the Kaer Morhen fort, where he meets other sorcerers. They move here to survive the winter and prepare for the next season of their ungrateful work. At this point, the trailer presents Vesemir, Labert and other sorcerers for the first time, of which there were supposed to be only five on Kaer Morhen, but the authors of the series probably slightly they blow. Regardless, Ciri undergoes her training, which in many ways resembles scenes from Sorcerer 3. After all, Netflix was so inspired by the Project CD game that he placed, for example, a pair of swords used by Geralt in Sorcerer 3, and we have no doubt that similar There will be more Easter eggs in the series.
Other fragments of the trailer then confirm that the story Zrnko pravdy, which is one of the most popular, will be included in the action of the second series – specifically in the first episode. It is basically a darker variation on the classic story Beauty and the Beast, with the difference that Sapkowski’s version of Belly is somewhat different. Of course, we will not reveal more, ie also other circumstances around the witches, which are pointed out by the complete conclusion of the trailer. Netflix himself reveals that Yennefer did not fall, but the meeting with Fringilla does not suit us very well, which is probably just another author’s turn, which – hopefully – will not be against the logic of the whole work. Of course, Emperor Emhyr also deserves a mention, or rather the back of Emperor Emhyr, who blinks in the trailer for a short time, perhaps in an effort to show that beetles resembling the armor of the Nilfgaard army are forgotten.
