The remake of Knights of the Old Republic could be made by the founder of BioWare -apkrig
The remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was taken over by Aspyr. However, they were not the only candidates for this task and everything could have turned out completely differently. Former co-founder of the famous BioWare studio and current head of the Canadian team Beamdog Trent Oster he revealed on Twitter that he was also seeking this contract.
Trent Oster congratulated colleagues and friends in Aspyr and added: “Now we finally know who beat us.” In order to demonstrate his sincere interest in this work, he added to the next tweet, an image from a multi-page presentation that they apparently prepared for the publisher, but failed with it. Their remake was to be subtitled The Reforged Collection, which suggests that it would not be limited to the first part. And Trent Oster remarked to him that it is always sad to look at a failed proposal after so much work has been invested in it.
Many fans would obviously wish Beamdog this mission according to the reactions. When asked by one of them, Oster specified that their submission should also be a remake, not a remaster. Many players would also like to see the suggested presentation they have begun to research. They would like to see other pages and be able to read them. However, Oster said that he only intentionally indicated it in this way, because it still contains classified information.
Here’s a peek at our failed pitch: (The Reforged Collection). I always find it sad to look at failed pitches after the fact and think about the hard work that went into building them. pic.twitter.com/nqg12m2NAw

On the other hand, when someone in the thread said that he would rather see such a remake than the one from Aspyr, Trent Oster says amicably that he is sure that his colleagues will do a great job, which is nice. It’s not hard to figure out why the connection with Beamdog attracts fans. Trent Oster and his colleagues founded BioWare in 1995. He joined Beamdog in 2009, when he co-founded the team with former BioWare chief programmer Cameron Tofer.
Beamdog has improved versions of the classics Neverwinter Nights, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale or Baldur’s Gate. It’s like a stone’s throw from KotOR. But Aspyr also hired former BioWare veterans to help him with the new remake. On the contrary, neither the current BioWare nor EA have anything to do with the current project. BioWare they saidthat they are proud of the work the team did in the original game and can’t wait to play a remake from Aspyr. For the time being, they are still working on the MMO The Old Republic, which is based on KotOR.
We’re proud of the work we did on the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and genuinely cannot wait to play Aspyr’s Remake! As we continue our work on Star Wars: The Old Republic, we will watch with great interest. May the Force Be With You.

Texas team Aspyr has previously taken care of remasters of Star Wars: Jedi Knight II – Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy or Star Wars: Republic Commando. It also has many older ports, including Knight of The Old Republic. However, he ported the first Star Wars games in 2002 to the Mac, which was his original specialization. This time, however, the studio embarked on a full-fledged remake and this is his most ambitious project to date. Aspyr has belonged to the Embracer group since February this year.
So far, the game is aimed at PC and PS5 as a time console exclusivity. Then it can arrive on other platforms. The remake is created from scratch, but is supposed to be true to the original, and some of its original authors participate in it. Actress Jennifer Hale will repeat the dubbing of Bastille Shan. Her colleague Tom Kane, on the other hand, will no longer join the dabbers for health reasons.
