The Myst game remake is available on iPhone and iPad

The game Myst celebrates its 30th anniversary and the remake is now available for download on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Cyan, who took care of the development, simply chose the name Myst-Mobile.

Here’s how Cyan presents the Myst remake on iPhone and iPad:

Go to the island of Myst and try to solve the mystery that awaits you there. As you uncover what happened on the island, you’ll find yourself playing an instrumental role in an epic plot whose ending is yet to be written.

The island is full of secrets: familiarize yourself with your surroundings and see what you can interact with. Each puzzle you solve will lead you to further explore the island and find ways to reach other breathtaking and surreal universes called “Ages”.

You need an iPhone or iPad equipped with at least an A12 chip (iPhone XS/XS Max/XR/SE 2, iPad mini 5, iPad Air 3 or iPad 8) to play. There is also compatibility with iPads supporting M1 and M2 chips. Cyan claims the game has been optimized for M1 devices and runs lightning fast on M2 chips in particular, with graphics that rival consoles. The game supports keyboards and trackpads, as well as gamepads.

Myst-Mobile is available free to download on the App Store. Note that there is an in-app purchase for €11.99 which unlocks the Ages extension.
