The highlights of the Star Wars Celebration
After a three-year break, the Star Wars Celebration could finally take place again this year our colleagues from kino.de were live in Anaheim, California and were able to preview the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 and an exclusive clip of the new Star Wars series Ahsoka.
After waiting far too long for The Mandalorian fans, there is finally information about the long-awaited third season. The new episodes start on February 23, 2023 on Disney+ and send Din Djarin alias Mando (Pedro Pascal) on an exciting journey. In the first trailer, shown at Star Wars Celebration and set to release for all fans soon, the titular hero travels to Mandalore to restore his reputation. However, according to the Armorer (Emily Swallow), after removing his helmet, he has lost any chance of forgiveness.
Maybe Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) will forgive him. She sits on the throne of Mandalore and regularly removes her helmet herself. Fans will find out on Disney+ from February 23, 2023 whether they can put Din Djarin out of their misery.

Alongside Ahsoka Tano, who emerged as a huge fan favorite in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, the galactic franchise will soon be celebrating the Live action premiere of Sabine Wrenwho fights the bad guys alongside Ahsoka in the Star Wars Rebels animated series. She is a native Mandalorian and has possessed the Darksaber for quite some time. Uninterested in the responsibilities that come with the weapon – leading the Mandalorians – however, she gave up the sword.
In the new series, she will look for an old friend alongside Ahsoka and the Twi’lek Hera (also known from “Star Wars Rebels”). Ezra Bridgers had sacrificed himself for the sake of the Rebels at the end of the animated series. To thwart an attack by Grand Admiral Thrawn, he jumped into hyperspace with the dangerous villain. Nobody knows what happened to the two. However, fans will likely find out when Ahsoka launches on Disney+ next year.
Cassian Andor is back – but not as expected
In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, fans can meet Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), the brave hero of the rebellion. Long before the character allowed Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) to pass one last glimmer of hope on to her droid, R2D2, Cassian was already fighting the Empire.
The series named after him which launches on Disney+ on August 31st, tells of this time when he was younger and has little in common with the Cassian fans know from Rogue One. You can find out exactly what happened to him before he sacrificed himself together with Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) in the trailer:
Star Wars Skeleton Crew: You’ve never seen the galaxy like this
Before the first large panel said goodbye to the Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy invited two very special guests to the stage. Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts and Spider-Man: Homecoming screenwriter Chris Ford presented their latest project, the new Star Wars series Star Wars Skeleton Crew.
When the show premieres on Disney+ in 2023, fans will be able to meet a group of 10-year-olds lost across the galaxy who just want to get back to their home planet. Spectators are allowed to special Goonies-style adventures and maybe even Stranger Things catch up. What exactly the audience expects is not yet known. Only Jude Law was presented in a leading role. It remains to be seen who was cast in the role of the children.
Palpatine premieres at Star Wars: The Bad Batch
After Crosshair left Omega and the Schaden batch, fans have been eager for information about the second season for a long time. At the Star Wars Celebration, not only was it revealed when the series will continue on Disney+, the first trailer was also released:
