The final version of iOS 16.5 will be available soon, announces Apple
Apple let it be known that the final version of iOS 16.5 will (very) soon be available for download on the iPhone, just like watchOS 9.5 on the Apple Watch. There isn’t a specific day yet. We only know that it will be by next week.
There aren’t many new features with iOS 16.5. Indeed, the four betas that have emerged over the past few weeks have shown that there are above all two elements to remember.
The first is the ability to start a video recording of your iPhone screen with Siri. Until now, you had to go through the control center and press the dedicated button. It is always possible in reality. Activation with Siri is only added as an option
The second element is the presence of a dedicated sports tab in the Apple News application. This app is still not available in all countries. Indeed, it is only found in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. Suffice to say that the availability is light.
Logically, Apple should offer this week (today?) a release candidate of iOS 16.5 for developers and public testers. We should also expect a release candidate for macOS 13.4, watchOS 9.5 and tvOS 16.5. Moreover, Apple does not say it today, but the final version of macOS 13.4 and tvOS 16.5 should be available at the same time as that for iOS 16.5 and watchOS 9.5.
