The Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro is being emulated… at the manufacturer realme
Last September, the Chinese manufacturer realme asked its customers “What’s your dream island like?” » (trans: “What would be the island of your dreams?”) in reference to what was already envisaged as an outright copy of the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The result of this copy this work was published on Twitter by the CEO of realme, Madhav Sheth !
The latter published a snapshot showing a realme C series smartphone with an equivalent of the Dynamic Island. This display area is here called the “Mini Capsule”. A priori however, the dynamic animation of this mini capsule would only be attached to the display of the battery charge capacity and nothing else. Suffice to say that we would be quite far from the variety of notifications of the Dynamic Island.
realme is not the only manufacturer to trivially copy the Dynamic Island: the Chinese LeEco (who had called Apple a “nazi”) had already done the same with a clone of the iPhone 14 Pro. After all, didn’t Steve Jobs say that copying is the best tribute?
