The developers of Ghost of Tsushima have become ambassadors of the island -apkrig

The Ghost of Tsushima game from the developers of the Sucker Punch studio received a warm wave of praise and recognition after its release. In the evaluation, the action adventure from the period of feudal Japan reached the highest marks, which was underlined by the great interest of the players and also the willingness of the developers to continue to improve their product and supplement it with interesting content. It was no less interesting to see the reactions coming from the Japanese media and players who got their hands on a game about their own history, even if it was processed by an American studio. And if you’ve read our articles in recent months, you may have learned that the reception in the land of the rising sun was perhaps even warmer than in the West.

The game Ghost of Tsushima received the absolute 40/40 mark in the prestigious magazine Famitsu and was later chosen by the local developers for the game of 2020. Another recognition now comes directly from the island of Cushima, who through his mayor gave game director Nate Fox and creative director Jason Connelli the games a permanent title of tourist ambassadors as an expression of gratitude for spreading awareness of the island and its history.

Mayor Hiroki Hitakacu explained that the award was received by prominent Japanese personalities in the past and is now the first time he has received it for raising the profile of Cushima and its history through his work. “In fact, I’ve been considering discussing the role given to both of them since I found out they use the name Tsushima as the name of their play,” Hitakacu said, indicating how much he appreciated the work of the American studio. All the more so when the game met with huge expectations and processed the fabric so engagingly that it attracted the attention of many people to the island of Cushima. “Even many Japanese do not know the history of the Gen-ko period. And when it comes down to it, Cushima’s name and location don’t really mean anything to them. I can’t thank the developers enough for telling our story in such phenomenal graphics and with such deep feeling, “said the mayor of the island.

As for the role mentioned – the tourist ambassador – he regrets Hitakacu because he could not hand it over in person due to the current situation in the world. He immediately added that there are no obligations arising from the title and both mentioned developers can give it up at any time if they wish. Nevertheless, he would like to later welcome the entire Sucker Punch team to the island in the hope that they will fall in love with the island even more than during the preparation of Ghost of Tsushima, and of course from a distance thanks to Sony and all players who showed interest in Cushi. At the same time, Hitakacu promised to work with the developers on a new tourist campaign, which will be connected with the game in the hope that it will invite other fans to learn more about the island and its important places and then explore them themselves.
