How high are the rents in Hanover?
When it comes to the cost of living, Hanover is the tenth most expensive city in Germany. In an international comparison, the city is 31.5 percent cheaper than New York City (without rent).

In a national comparison, Hanover ranks 13th in terms of cost of living plus rents – and is even behind cities such as Darmstadt and Freiburg.
