The Chinese vivo brand officially enters the Czech market
Chinese manufacturer vivo is currently one of the 5 best-selling manufacturers of Android smartphones worldwide. It has brought several innovations to this segment in the past. Nevertheless, he avoided the European market for a long time. This week, however, he officially announced on his website that he was entering the Czech market. This will certainly please Slovak customers as well, because a number of Czech e-shops also operate on the Slovak market.
It is one of the most innovative smartphone brands in recent years
Brand vivo is not as young as, for example, Chinese competitor Xiaomi. It has existed since 1995, but it did not start producing smartphones until 2011. Of course, like most competitors, it bet on the Android operating system at the time. Its smartphones have become very popular in the Chinese market, mainly due to several innovations that they have brought.
We also informed you about the most important ones. An example is the vivo NEX model, which was the first Android smartphone with a retractable selfie camera mechanism. Thanks to it, the display can be completely without frames. An innovation in his case was also a fingerprint sensor directly in the display. Its successor, the vivo NEX 2, again brought a secondary display that was on the back under the camera.
When entering the Czech market, the vivo brand boasts of selling 111 million smartphones a year, or its cooperation with the German optics manufacturer ZEISS. Its financial stability is also to be reflected in the fact that it is the official sponsor of the European EURO 2020 and EURO 2024 football championships.
We are pleased to say our first, “Hello, Czech Republic!” and officially present in vivo the first models of our smartphones designed for the Czech market. We enter the Czech Republic at a time that is very challenging for each of us, as well as for business. However, our plans for the Czech Republic and our commitment to expand our operations throughout Europe have remained unchanged. It reflects our philosophy: doing the right things the right way.
