The beta version of Battlefield 2042 has only about 20 GB -apkrig
After the nutritious beta test Call of Duty: Vanguard comes to the fore. Battlefield 2042 will let the first players into its beta test tomorrow morning, and there are still ways for you to join the opening wave. First of all, you must, of course, download the appropriate data package, whether you are playing on a PC, a previous generation of consoles, or directly on a PS5 or Xbox Series. Even with the fact that the content of the beta will be only the Conquest mode on one map – Orbital – the size is not dizzying. The least players have to download on the Xbox One – just 9 GB, the most for a change PS4 owners – over 20 GB. The possibility of early download, which is already active at the moment, is a nice bonus, but it would not be so decisive in this case.
Another thing you need to accomplish in order to play tomorrow is either paying for a pre-order or securing an EA Play membership on a PC or console. It doesn’t matter if you only pay for a basic membership or pay extra on a PC for a higher EA Play Pro tariff – everyone can play without further restrictions. But if you really don’t want to spend any money, just wait until October 8, when the beta will be available to everyone without any obligations. Once again, however, it is possible to observe that Electronic Arts wants to promote its subscription service, which a few days ago was clearly true of the new year of the FIFA series, which even early as EA Play subscribers could not play even pre-order owners.
But if we are to return to Battlefield, with today’s launch of the premature beta download, there has also been information about a change in the content of the basic edition of the digital next-gen version. As of today, the Dual Entitlement program – as EA calls it – will also include in the PS5 and Xbox Series versions the standard edition of the game for the previous generation of the respective console for the unchanged price of CZK 2,099. Until now, players could only get to them by purchasing two more expensive editions, Gold and Ultimate, for 2599, respectively. 3099 crowns. This is a very helpful step, especially for players who are just waiting for their new console and until then would have played Battlefield 2042 at least on the previous generation. However, it is still important to keep in mind that the cross-gen bundle guarantees cross-gen gaming – the PS4 / Xbox One version will not be compatible with the PS5 / Xbox Series version, mainly due to the different maximum map size and number of players represented.
