The authors of Suicide of Rachel Foster present a new thriller -apkrig

Developers from the Italian studio One-O-One Games, who have the successful psychological thriller Suicide of Rachel Foster, have introduced their new game. She is also a thriller with a female heroine, but this time set in a much more open environment and with an emphasis on mysteries and the event itself. In Aftermath, as the title is called, we will be looking for her daughter Sammy and astronaut Charlie Gray, but it will definitely not be anything straightforward. As the first trailer suggests, when Charlie returns to Earth something happens and the confused astronaut lands with her module in the world that he our reminds only remotely. People have disappeared, or so it appears from the video, and an alien invasion is taking place instead.

The developers say that we will first have to analyze the environment, get to safety and start finding out what actually happened. But all this is to be anchored in the deep human a story in which the protagonist and the players will ask themselves important questions. What happens when people face unimaginable things until then? Will they unite and resist them together, or will they disintegrate as a society and everyone will start fighting for themselves? Will our past and experience play a role, or will we have to adapt quickly to completely new things? We will have to deal with similar dilemmas, but especially the situations and their consequences, throughout the game, and it must be acknowledged that the first trailer sets the atmosphere very satisfactorily.

As for their own gameplay, the people at One-O-One Games didn’t want to settle for just a “walking simulator,” so they’re preparing action fights beyond their own exploration and puzzles. We haven’t seen many of them in the video, but the first few pictures promise a fairly standard 3rd person layout and – hopefully – an imaginative enemy. Alessandro Bavari, who has experience mainly in the film industry and films such as Alien Covenant and Suspiria, should take care of their design and behavior. It is premature to estimate how much the filmmaking will be reflected in Aftermath at the moment, but it is quite possible that the developers from One-O-One will grow a title with similar significance as Bloober Team’s Layers of Fear years ago.

It is also tempting that the developers want to fit a robust survival mechanism into Aftermath, where the protagonist will have to deal with what and when to eat, how to maintain sanity and physical health, or how to outsmart enemies. On the other hand, not all logical rules may apply in all circumstances, because the developers are talking about dreamy world and it is likely that at least part of the game will only take place in Charlie’s head. Even so, Aftermath seems to be a title worth watching, although we still don’t know when the game will come out and whether it will look at the Xbox in addition to the announced PC and PlayStation platforms.
