The Amiga 500 Mini attracts 25 built-in classics -apkrig
We first wrote about the mini retro computer Amiga 500 Mini in Vortex in August. We have now learned more details, including the two most important. When will it come on the market and what games will it offer? For the price of 130 euros, it will enter stores on March 25 and attract 25 titles, the exact list of which we already know and can be found below. At this point, we are content to state that this is a very nice selection, in which we find many of the notorious classics. It is worth mentioning Alien Breed, Battle Chess, The Chaos Engine, Simon the Sorcerer, Worms or Zool.
And if you don’t find your favorite in this list, you don’t have to hang your head. Unlike many other similar devices, the Amiga 500 Mini officially supports roms, which can be run and installed via a USB drive. The package includes a two-button mouse and a gamepad inspired by the Amiga CD32 driver. The mouse and gamepad will also be sold separately. The keyboard itself, which makes up the entire device, is not functional, but you can connect a classic keyboard from a PC.
Although the A500 Mini is inspired by the Amiga 500, it can also emulate the A500 + and Amiga 1200. ROMs from this platform are also supposed to work. The small Amiga also offers a few extra features. It supports save / resume function, offers various scaling options, 50Hz and 60Hz frequency as well as a filter imitating a CRT screen. The manufacturer believes that people in this device will see another evolution of mini systems designed for games, which have enjoyed great popularity in recent years.
Retro Games will launch the device and also refer to it as THEA500 Mini. It sells for about 3,300 to 3,500 crowns and several e-shops already have it in pre-orders.
