The Tesla boss is one of the remarkable statements. Usually he does this on Twitter, but this time he shares his vision via a podcast with Lex Fridman. He now claims that the Tesla Robot could be an “incredible buddy like C3PO or R2D2”. And that he will be able “to develop a personality that is unique over time,” because, according to Musk, “it’s not like all robots are the same.”

This year, the robot was presented by the company. Musk claimed the machine would be ready in 2022. The deadline is very strict and the question is whether it is realistic. Because it doesn’t matter that companies like Amazon, Apple, Google, Samsung and dozens of other major tech outlets have invested hundreds of billions of dollars in pushing the boundaries of human technology. Musk is just going to do it in a few years. He has hired a team that will do this. Those people have only been working for him for a few months, but that shouldn’t spoil the fun.

Experts think it’s impossible what Musk says. But they have often said that about him and he now shoots rockets into space, for example. Many people believed that this was impossible. However, the experts expect that robots like this one won’t be ready until 2050-2080. And even if you have almost unlimited financial resources and a lot of smart people around you, it is no guarantee of success.
