Telltale reveals the first details of The Wolf Among Us 2 -apkrig
During the 2019 The Game Awards, the developers at Telltale Games definitely returned to the scene. After protracted problems, the break-up of the studio, the division of parts of the team and reunification under the banner of Telltale Gamea and AdHoc Studio, the second part of The Wolf Among Us adventure, which fans have been waiting for since 2013, has been confirmed. We did not follow in vain, we waited in vain for this year’s Game Awards, and the fans finally received a not very happy news that the new information would not arrive until 2022.
In its printed form, it gives space to both studios and their upcoming game, which the developers, of course, pay maximum attention to. But the interview with Telltale CEO Jamie Ottili and CTO Dennis Lenart of AdHoc begins more generally, focusing on how the two studios will be made up of former employees. of the original Telltale studios work. As it was first announced at the beginning of last year, one of the biggest changes is the approach to how individual episodes of specific titles will be created. Of course, this is already true of The Wolf Among Us 2, and the new approach will benefit not only the players, but especially the developers who have been under enormous time pressure on previous Telltale projects to catch up on new episodes in the shortest possible time. Because all this only led to overtime and a lot of stress, the developers decided to re-develop the whole game with all its episodes, and when everything was ready, start the whole process of gradual release. This way, developers will be able to focus on testing and, ideally, nothing between episodes not develop.
Another important thing is to change the engine – although Telltale’s internal tools were tailored to the genre that made the studio famous, developers may have encountered unexpected problems or shortcomings that they were generally unable to effectively remove or replace with better ones. Therefore, they decided to use the Unreal Engine, which is also an open platform and, according to Lenart, will allow both teams to add their own modules and tools that will be specifically required for the story adventure genre. And thirdly, thanks to the changes in the video game industry over the last two years, Telltale will not be reluctant to have parts of its games developed externally. This applies especially to graphics, which will be used by remote teams and thus take others from their own people unnecessary workload that can be used more efficiently in other places.

If all goes well, players should know about The Wolf Among Us 2 in the near future. What will the game be about? What is crucial is that, according to new information, we will move to a period of approximately half a year after the events of the first part. The game will take place in the winter and will catch the main characters in a bit of new roles. If you played the first season, you are clear about Bigby and Snow White, without unnecessary spoilers, but we can at least partially explain that while Snow White enjoys her role as Deputy Mayor of Fabletown, Bigby is still in search of not knowing exactly how to take on the role of sheriff and protector. But the story gets closer to the comic and the developers promise a lot of news. One of them should be New York, in which we will move this time, and according to Jamie Ottilie, we are said to fully enjoy its size. Currently, the developers are finishing work in the motion capture studio and have a complete script, which, according to director Telltale, is a hugely pleasant change from the way it used to be.
