Teaser shows Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 with gapless hinge
Samsung India has posted a teaser on Twitter (or X) in which we see the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with the new hinge system. That hinge has eliminated a major pain point.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is rumored to not only have a nice large screen on the front, the hinge has also been improved. In the teaser we see that the so-called “hinge-gap” of the previous generations has disappeared. The folding phone can be completely closed, without a crack where dust can get in. In addition, we see that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be available in three colors: Lavender, Mint and Cream.

Samsung’s teaser ends with details on the Galaxy Unpacked event, which takes place on July 26. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 are announced there. These new models are significantly improved over their predecessors. For example, the Flip 5 will have a larger screen on the outside and the foldable will also be dustproof for the first time. We also expect to see Samsung’s new smartwatches at this event, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
