Oppo Watch 3 on August 10
Oppo wants to present its new smartwatch next week. It is the Oppo Watch 3, which is the third generation of the extensive smartwatch. This news is brought out by Digital Chat Station, a source that more often shares information from the tech world. The announcement must take place on the same day that Samsung has its Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy Watch 5 is presumably shown. There will probably be two sizes for the basic model and we will also see a Pro version.
Oppo will equip the new Oppo Watch 3 with a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor; a special chipset for smartwatches. This already offers support for the ECG heart rate monitor and the Oppo Watch 3 probably runs on the new version of Wear OS 3. Thanks to a watch from Montblanc, we know what this pure form of Wear OS will look like. In the first year, the platform was only available on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. The new Watch 3 will also have an LTPO AMOLED screen, where even the refresh rate can be adjusted.
It is not known whether the Oppo Watch 3 will also come to the Netherlands. The first Oppo Watch did come to the Netherlands; the second generation does not.
