Sonic Origins: a release date for the compilation…and a price that stings (trailer)

Sonic Originsslightly remastered compilation of SEGAunderstand Sonic The Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and sonic cd. Announced in May 2021, the compilation retrogaming now has a release date, set for June 23, 2022. Sega has just confirmed that the game will be released on consoles Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and pc. The price of 39.99 euros… stings a little for a retro compilation, and Sega has also planned an edition Digital Deluxe at 44.90 euros which includes some additional bonuses (additional missions and music, animated characters in the menu, etc.).

Sonic Origins will also offer an Anniversary mode (unlimited lives and 4K full screen), a somewhat offbeat mode necessarily since the game was originally due to be released last year, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Sonic franchise. the trailer also reveals pretty cutscenes and a frame rate high (60 fps), which is not a luxury for the ultra-fast gameplay of SEGA’s flagship license.
