Solve statue puzzles at Affenheilgtum (monkey theater)

Behind the trophy “Monkey Theater” on the island of Iki in the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut hides a tricky monkey statue puzzle at the monkey sanctuary. You should embody the spirit of the monkey on Saruiwa. You can find out what exactly you have to do here!

Solve statue puzzles at the monkey sanctuary (monkey theater)

To get the “Monkey Theater” trophy, you have to go to the monkey sanctuary near Saruiwa in the far southwest of the island of Iki. There are three hidden monkey statues (see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing), where you have to take certain actions.

Then you have to climb to the summit of the monkey sanctuary and before that you have to complete a flute mini-game to unlock “Monkey Theater”. In the following video we show you the locations of the three hidden monkey statues and what actions you have to perform on them:

Find hidden monkey statues

The locations of the monkey statues are hidden around the mountain on Saruiwa and are difficult to describe in terms of text. So take a look at the video above for the exact locations.

With each statue you have to perform a certain action. As with the forgotten shrines, a short cutscene starts and the statue is considered complete. You have to do the following:

• Monkey statue “hear nothing”: Stand in front of the statue and swipe left on the touchpad to find your flute to play.
• Monkey statue “See nothing”: Stand in front of the statue and throw one Smoke bomb in front of you on the ground.
• Monkey statue “say nothing”: Stand in front of the statue and swipe down on the touchpad to close yourself bow down.

Unlock “Monkey Theater”

Have you done all the actions at the statues, climb to the top of the monkey sanctuary. If you have done everything right up to this point, you can see the three monkey statues lined up next to each other.

Now you have to sit down on the circular mat and play your flute again. Here you should use the controller movements to move the point on the screen up and down according to the pitch until the flute is over.

Immediately afterwards a cutscene starts and you get the trophy.

Note: If you have already completed the monkey sanctuary, all you have to do is perform the actions on the three monkey statues to get the trophy.

As an additional reward, you will receive the Talisman of Protection from Mashira for successful completion. This extends the window of time when performing perfect parries and perfect evasions.
