SharePlay makes it easier to share music, movies and photos with your friends and family. With SharePlay you can, for example, watch a movie together or listen to music together while swinging. You don’t have to sit together in the same room for this, because you share the music via FaceTime. How do you turn it on? Read in the steps below.
Share a song and listen to music together with SharePlay:
- Start a FaceTime call with your friends;
- Open Apple Music and choose a song to play;
- Choose the option ‘SharePlay’ and the song will be played by you and your friends;
There are, however, a few caveats. Of course, you and anyone you want to share a song with must be running iOS 15.1. To start (and share) a song, everyone must also have an Apple Music subscription. It is not (yet) possible to share a song from Spotify or YouTube Music via SharePlay.
