Samsung will only update Galaxy A51 twice a year from now on
Samsung has adjusted the update schedule for the Galaxy A51. No longer every quarter, but only once every six months, an update is rolled out for the popular phone.
Fewer updates for Galaxy A51
Looking at the software page of Samsung, it is noticeable that the update policy for the Galaxy A51 has been adjusted. The popular phone from Samsung has been widely sold and was released in January 2020. However, the phone will receive fewer updates than has been used until two years after release.
Samsung chooses to provide the device with a new security update only once every six months. This used to be once a quarter. It is not known why Samsung will update the phone less often. The new update schedule is relatively meager if we compare it with other devices from the manufacturer. All the more so because the Galaxy A50 from a year earlier is still updated every month with an update.
However, the phone would not be at the end of the update yet. According to previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy A51 would receive three Android updates. Android 11 was already rolled out earlier, so 12 and 13 are still expected.
