Samsung wants to roll out Android 14 faster than Android 13
Samsung has managed to improve this year with the rollout of Android 13. The manufacturer started rolling out the update to its Galaxy smartphones two months after Google officially made it available. For Android 14, the manufacturer wants to go even further.
Samsung released a statement to talk about the arrival of One UI 5 (its overlay with Android 13). The company starts talking about benefits of One UI 5 and further on talks a bit about the release schedule for its Galaxy tablets and smartphones
This is where Samsung mentions that the Galaxy Z Flip, Z Fold 2 and 3 will be updated later this year to Android 13, along with the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S7 FE, Tab S7, and Tab S6 Lite. The company also said that the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 will start receiving the update this month. Finally, she mentioned that the Galaxy A53, A52s 5G, A33 5G, and A32 will receive the One UI 5 update later this year.
The interesting passage that makes a link with Android 14 (without quoting this version) is at the end of the press release. “Samsung Electronics will continue to strengthen cooperation with Google and actively listen to user feedback to continue updating One UI faster and with greater perfection”can we read.
It is true that Samsung has managed to be faster over the years when it comes to updates. We can therefore expect the situation to improve again in 2023 with Android 14.
