Samsung shows Xiaomi how it is: Android apps are cleaned up
When you buy an Android smartphone, you actually expect the manufacturers not to want to earn double income from you. After all, you have to deal with pre-installed apps, some of which you cannot even uninstall. Integrating advertising in apps is going too far – Samsung has now also recognized that.
Samsung removes advertising from its own Android apps
Since last year, advertising has appeared in Samsung apps that users of Galaxy smartphones and tablets do not like at all. Nobody wants to see unwanted advertising on a smartphone in system apps such as Samsung Pay, Music, Themes, Weather or other Samsung apps. It’s a different story for free apps and games that are financed through them. But not in the way Samsung implemented it on its own devices. This will soon be over (source: SamMobile). Samsung will do the Remove advertisements in future updates of the apps. However, it is not known exactly when to start.
Samsung is taking an important step towards making users more satisfied. Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi also use advertising on their smartphones and thus earn additional money from the devices that are in use. In Germany, the amount of advertising is very small, but if you switch to another region, for example to receive updates faster, you can see how annoying Xiaomi advertising can be. So when it comes to software, Samsung is on the right track and learn from his mistakes.

Samsung evolves slowly but surely to the role modelwhen it comes to the Android operating system. The software is getting better from year to year, there have been updates for more than four years and Samsung now even wants to remove advertising from its own apps. It would be nice if Xiaomi would orientate itself on this.
