Samsung has shared the details about the October security update. More and more devices from the manufacturers are getting the update. What proprietary patches has Samsung added to Google’s update?

The manufacturer has already started distributing the latest security patch for various Samsung devices. It concerns security update October 2021. In the coming period, several devices will be updated with this new update. As we are used to, Samsung now also shares its own details about the content of this new security update. Samsung has also added its own improvements on top of the patches from Google.

It is clear that Samsung has supplemented the update with 32 of its own patches. Not all patches are intended for all devices. Some are specific to a model, Android version, or a particular component in a device. There are various fixes for the Exynos chipset, but there are also optimizations for devices with a MediaTek chipset. The other patches relate to drivers and individual components.
