Samsung is working on One UI 5.1 and being tested for Galaxy S22

Samsung launched One UI 5 for devices with Android 13. However, an improved version, One UI 5.1, is now being worked on. It will probably make its debut with the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series in February.

OneUI 5.1

Samsung is constantly working on improving its own One UI skin. The One UI skin, which used to be known as TouchWiz, will soon be updated to version 5.1. The first reports about the latest version are now circulating. Simultaneously with the messages about the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. The three models from this series are expected in February, with previous rumors talking about an announcement on February 1. According to the latest reports, Samsung would also like to show the new One UI 5.1 skin during its Unpacked event.

OneUI 5

Interestingly, Samsung only rolls out One UI 5 to the various devices with the arrival of Android 13. This has been happening for several weeks. A successor is therefore soon, but it is not expected that the update to One UI 5.1 will entail any major changes. However, there were previously reports that Samsung would like to expand the options for adjusting the lock screen with a future update. In addition, it is quite possible that Samsung wants to roll out the new widget player for media playback in One UI 5.1 in One UI 5.1, where Google already introduced it with Android 13.

Samsung is already testing One UI 5.1 for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. This means that probably in the days after the announcement of the S23 series, the update will already be available for the models of the S22 series.
