Samsung introduces the new Galaxy S22: That has changed
Samsung has introduced a new variant of its top smartphone, the Galaxy S22. Compared to the previous model, only the appearance has changed, while the technology remains the same. The new Galaxy S22 is also to be launched in Europe.
Samsung introduces Galaxy S22 in new color
There have been rumors for a long time, now Samsung is doing it new Galaxy S22 officially. The top smartphone in the color “Bora Purple” will be available first in South Korea, with other countries to follow. The version is to be offered directly from Samsung and from several online retailers.

Except for the color there has been no change. The phone is almost entirely in Bora Purple, including the frame. Samsung only opted for a contrasting color for the camera module on the back (source: Samsung).
The smartphone is in South Korea from August 10, 2022 for the equivalent of around 750 euros – just in time for the manufacturer’s unpacked event. According to Samsung, the version will also make it to the USA and Europe. Samsung has not revealed which countries exactly. There is also no information available on the euro price. It can be assumed that the Galaxy S22 will also be available in “Bora Purple” in Germany.

Samsung: Also Galaxy Z Flip 4 in “Bora Purple”
We already know from leaks that the upcoming folding phone Galaxy Z Flip 4 will also appear in the color “Bora Purple”. Samsung may also show the larger one on August 10th Galaxy Z Fold 4 as well as the headphones Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in color.
The fact that Samsung will later launch its flagships in a new color is not new. Even with the Galaxy S8 from 2017 there was a variant in “Orchid Gray”, a year later the Galaxy S9 followed in “Lilac Purple”.
